Bailan

"Bailan" or "Bylan" in Lao refers to palm leaf, which is one of the resources used for making paper. Palm leaf has deep roots in the culture and history of Laos. Historically, ordinary people in Laos used palm leaves to record important information and dates. However, in modern times, palm leaves are primarily utilized for the transcription of Buddhist scriptures, playing a significant role in Laos's Buddhist culture.
